Start one to one · Every Session coached · Your program

Train with confidence.
Build real strength.

Start one to one with Maddy or Dakota, then pick the path that fits your week. Both paths teach you what to do, why you are doing it, and how to progress.

Max 8 per ongoing Session.
Every Session coached.
28 days' notice, no lock-in.

Choose your path

Everyone starts one to one.

Your first sessions are private, with Maddy or Dakota. Your coach learns your starting point, teaches you the movements and writes your program before anything else happens. Then you pick the path that fits your week, and you keep the same coach either way.

Option A

Seven private sessions.

One to one, one coach, the whole way through. Built for structure and consistency. You train at a time you choose, with someone who knows exactly where you were last week and what comes next.

Best for women who want the same coach beside them for every session.

Option B

Onboarding, then the floor.

Five one-to-one sessions to learn the movements and build your program, then three weeks of unlimited Strength & Conditioning. You finish training beside the rest of the Virtus Family, in Sessions of no more than eight, with a coach on the floor from start to finish.

Best for women who want to end up training with other people, at their own level.

Two ways in. You do not have to choose before the Free Intro, and you are not locked into what happens after.

What to expect

Coaching that meets you where you are.

Start privately

Learn the movements one to one before you enter an ongoing coached Session.

Train your program

You are not following the person beside you. Your exercises and loads reflect your starting point and goals.

Ask questions in the Session

The coach is there for the whole session, not checking in from the other side of the room.

Progress without the performance

Serious coaching does not require an intimidating room. Beginners, parents, athletes, and retirees train on the same floor at their own level.

Meet your coaches

Maddy and Dakota.

Maddy Morrison coaches strength with clear instruction, patient progressions, and a calm floor presence. She explains why an exercise is in the program, teaches the skill in steps, and adjusts it to the person in front of her. Dakota Watson started at Virtus as an intern in 2024 and now coaches as our General Manager. Both paths run with one of them.

The honest answers

What women ask us first.

Straight answers about starting, the two paths, and training on our floor.

I have never lifted weights. Where do I start?

One to one. Both paths start with private sessions, where a coach teaches you the movements before expecting you to know them.

How do I choose between the two paths?

If you want the same coach beside you for every session, take Option A. If you would rather learn privately and then train alongside other people, take Option B. Your coach talks both through at the Free Intro, so you do not have to decide before then.

Is Virtus a women's-only gym?

No. Sessions are mixed, and about half the floor is women. Both paths run with Maddy or Dakota, so you start with a coach who does this every day.

Is strength training suitable in my 40s, 50s, 60s or beyond?

Properly prescribed and supervised strength training can support muscle strength, physical function, and bone health across adult life. The right starting point depends on you. If you have a condition, pain, or clinical question, speak with an appropriate health professional as well as your coach.

What does it cost?

Both paths are built from the standard catalogue: private sessions, the five-session onboarding at $599, and S&C memberships at $71 a week for two Sessions or $84 for unlimited Sessions. Your coach confirms the figure for the path you pick at the Free Intro. See the pricing page for the current catalogue.

What happens after the seven sessions, or the three weeks?

You choose. You can move onto an ongoing S&C membership, keep training one to one, or stop. Memberships use 28 days' notice rather than a lock-in contract, so nothing decides your next year for you.

Should I get fit before I start?

No. Learning how to train and building fitness are part of the service. Start where you are.
